Why do you pay less for a layout from a contractor then an architectural engineer?
The contractor asks less for layout and other drawings because that is not how they get their income.
What is the difference!!
This is asked a lot. Simple answer is we are talking about :
- different jobs with
- different functions (goals)
- different way of income.
What is an architectural engineer?
- An architectural engineer can be during the entire phase with different tasks from prep work to making your design a reality.
What is an architectural engineer functions?
- Designing
- Building manager during building phase
- Intermediary of collaboration with extern parties.
How do they make their money in projects with their task in mind?
The income of an architectural engineer is made by:
- Designing (for a design uniquely made for your wishes)
- Intermediary tasks (middle person)
- Planning (to make sure the design is made in the estimated time)
- Budget (building materials)
- The contract made for finding the right contractor for you
- Building manager
