Content drama | Day in the life RCD

 

Hello RCD readers,

Yesterday was Srefidensi dey. It was celebrated huge. A lot of activities since last week. I've seen so many people going out for each event. I couldn't even come up with an original content post 🤣. How the drama all started.

You see it's almost end of the year. We are almost at the last month. Oow this was a doozy. Creating content for this month. You have different ways to go about this. And I've tried multiple each year. I've tried daily blogging with architectural post. I've tried recap post. Monthly recaps. I've tried last year "most impactful project etc". I've tried reintroducing myself and my company.

What have I noticed?

Reach December is low. People would rather go shopping instead of thinking about building. This is why I don't have the energy to post this month. But I've noticed I can't just not an entire December.  I keep the momentum for the next year. And will like enjoy the benefits next year and not this year.

Making content on my day off

So yesterday I kept breaking my head for the third time what I wanted to post and how many times. I know I'm not choosing educational because we ain't got the energy not brain space in December for that. Sorry but including myself. It's not an insult.  The first option was same idea as last year. With a couple of bts of ongoing project's.  But Gemini gave me more inspiration.  Which made me work backwards. I made first my content calender for next year.

- start with the free day's and international & national holidays 

- find out my own breaks for that year

- gemini gave perfect idea when building seasons are in Suriname and with that which are the month's I should push promotion for more client's because they will be building. I use take this as discount months but we'll see what I'll do.

- after that an whole discussion which is better discounts or just push promo. 

I finally after working almost a whole day on this I came up with a content calender for December which I'm comfortable with. And we'll see how people will response.

Because December has a big to do list by itself. By having this set I can work on this:

- project MS needs to be prepared for building permit ; this includes printing, binding, delivering and correcting the drawings.

- project M if the client's does his payments than follows correcting the 3D drawing( maybe) and start with the preliminary drawings with the contractors calculations. If everything goes smooth. I can finish this project this year. Fingers cross

- project V The client loved the 3D design so now follows the definitive design drawings. 

- project T The client had feedback about the 3D design so now follows what he chooses and we go further to technical drawings 

- evaluate this year

- finances for 2025 including checking what is possible to pay this year. And finally using QuickBooks for this year.

- new year resolutions 

- not missing any Sunday church service

- create content for January 

- by worksupplies finally hopefully 

- find someone to help me buy blogwebsite domain first. And find away how to get my own website. 

So making sure content is set up is a perfect way to start December smooth
