Empower | Day in the life RCD
Hello RCD readers,
Discomfort is the key to evolving and nurturing your full potential. If I take a look back a year or even two ago a lot changed. And growth either came naturally or it came with me pushing and screaming. But here we are almost celebrating the start of it all. July 4th 2014 was the year I received my bachelor's degree. And it was uncomfortable to say the least.
I wouldn't change anything. How bad my thesis road was. Because it showed me my own strength mentally and actually physically. And still change scares me. The familiar we sometimes cling on too long. We stay in situations and environments way past our due date. But that's where beauty happens. Letting of the fear of the unknown. If I hadn't received a big NO. A lot would not have happened. If I didn't take my thesis supervisor advice seriously and just trusted her words. I would still be in toxic environments that would've hold me down. By letting go meant me starting over and as scary as that was. It also meant the focus on building something new.
So upcoming day's I have two important event's I don't want to go to but it's for business growth. That means putting my big girl panties on and going. Oo help me Lord. It's been awhile. Pray for me to be social. Because it's out of my comfort zone but when you pray for growth that means God will put you in uncomfortable situations. A lot is happening simultaneously and thank God I'm keeping up while taking care of myself really good.
Lesson of the day " In order to receive growth and evolving you need to be able to create a different mindset. You need to embrace uncomfortable situations. You need to embrace change wholeheartedly. And most important stay focussed on your goals by silencing the noice around you."
