Hump Day | Day in the life RCD

Hello RCD readers,

Hump day is here. I always hated that word. Today is a perfect day to see what works and what doesn't. It's a busy day but I'm in a better mood. God answered my morning prayer. I have a little bit of time to finally sketch for a pro bono project. I have time for checking with building permit stage.  And I can finally keep my word and go to the doctor for that annual check up.

First is first
See if my offers are going to be a yes or a no. It's all part of the job. I met some great potential client's this week. And one choose a different route. One said yes to at least the site visit. And the other one is still deciding. So we'll see how this ends. Either way I'm overjoyed about every single client making contact. It's a milestone.  I got my first client's via Instagram.  Which is so funny. I've been working on marketing Instagram content a little more strategic for almost three year. And because it's organic. Not with any boost. I'm happy.

Why is this a milestone?
Organic VS boost. I have stopped looking at my followers and like numbers on both side. Why? The most important is the reach. And for me would be action after the content. Would I love to have a lot of followers etc. Yes. Do I think it helps? Not for me. I get a lot of people just browsing. Not actually looking to use my services. Can I learn how to persuade them to give me a yes instead of no? Yes. But would I?
I'm running my business with the mindset I want what God has for me. A friend told me once. Go and persuade the difficult  client. That's how you grow. I agree. I would learn a lot from difficult situations.

But Honestly. I need project's where I'm sure me and the client will work well together.  I need clients that trust my knowledge.  I need clients that are realistic with the cost of everything.  I need clients that are willing to work with me. Yes you can make somebody become your client.  But that is the time you could use for making content, creating better strategic marketing plan,  work on your current project's and put your best foot forward. The time where we overthink this part of sales is gone. You either believe that you'll survive without and find something better. Or you'll be overworking. Over explaining for a simple validation that may or may not come. When it's time they will come. Work smarter not harder.

I don't use boosting that much. It helps with the reach etc but it also gives you a lot of people that aren't actually looking for your services.

Content for March
So next week is last week of February and that means thinking about my content calendar for March. Five very important days. The start of Ramadan , Ash Wednesday
Holi Phagwa, Ied Ul Fitre, The start of Lent and International Women's day. I checked what worked in January and February. And the reach has gone down. Which means I need to be smart what content I'm choosing on posting for March.

Social Media Break
I'm thinking about taking a blogging break for fasting. I want to focus on certain things. And social media is going to be a distraction again. So I'm still on fence about it. But I think you'll receive scheduled content and no blog post in March till fasting is over and it's Easter. So you'll get a lot of content in Easter Vacay I'm thinking. We'll see.

Benefit concert
March 1st Moira Dance company has organized a benefit concert for the rebuild of the ballet school. So next week a lot of schools and organizations in the arts will be doing their thang on stage.

I did do a lot today but check up and checking building permit did not go as planned. So I have two hours before the meeting for this event. Tired as hell but we'll get through it.

Have a blessed night.
