I made a blog post this year about if e-design is worth it. But how many of you know what e-design proclaims.
What is E-Design?
E-design is just another way of saying online design. Instead of hiring a designer who you work with in-person, you hire someone to work with online – typically via email. E-design is exactly what it sounds like: design services offered entirely online (via video conferencing tools, phone calls and/or emails).
How does it work?
E-Design for works as following. RC Designs Architectural Studio has online forms that sent via email, messenger or WhatsApp to you.
First step get approximate pricing right?
You get this by sending message to our WhatsApp number. You'll receive a online consultation form. This helps me figure out what your needs are and what your budget is. It's important to fill everything in and if you have a question ask always.
The purpose of the form:
- get your design budget
- get your building budget
- get your consultation budget
- get your design services need
Design service needs:
RC Designs Architectural Studio offers site visits, E-designing, building preparation and E-consultations. So if you know what your budget is than I can help you make design package this fits your budget. We have different forms for each kind of service. Which means the first online consultation is important to give notice what you prefer as our service.
Second step
This is mostly where we go further or our online meetings stop. You'll receive a personalized offer based on your filled in needed services. And if you want to add or remove anything that is still possible in this stage.
If you stop. That means you'll never go with the other online forms.
But if the pricing fits your budget and you trust us with your dream design. The following step involves:
1) payment for the site visit.
2) online e-design form;
- design project
- interior design project
- exterior design project
- building permit
3) site visit
Third step
Involves online design meetings, weekly progress updates and the entire design process via email or WhatsApp.
What's the benefits?
1) The benefits that I've notice that it removes physical barriers. If you want to built your home in Suriname but living in the Netherlands for instance you can contact us. We have experience in that.
2) It's perfect for busy people. As I get client's that have a busy schedule and meetings during work my hours is not possible. Each client gets to respond when it's convenient for them and I respond during my workhours.
3) it's transparent. I've noticed that after a conversation a lot of the meeting gets lost in translation. But with written conversation and recordings you'll always can go back to what is discussed. This is perfect for both parties. And causes less confusions.
4) less personal meeting means more weekly updates. Because you don't have one on one meetings it's crucial for my side to give weekly updates of the design progress. I always like to say you know where your money is going.
