Hello RCD readers,

Welcome to our voted themed OG RCD article post. This is maybe a four or five
blog post. In this article you’ll have a really short intro of the four levels of security
systems.
-           The definition
-           Inexpensive safety tips
-           Alarm systems
-           Camera systems

Level 1: Perimeter Protection Security System (FENCE)
Level 2: Middle Area Protection Security System (YARD)
Level 3: Inner Perimeter Protection Security System (WALLS)
Level 4: Internal Security System (INSIDE HOUSE)

Definition:
Inner Perimeter Protection Security System is the third level. This level of security
specifies only house walls. We are talking about tips that you as home owner can
do to protect you from burglars entering your home.

ROOF/CEILING/ATTIC

Inexpensive safety tips:
Tips for your roof/ceiling/attic:

Roof
Deny burglars access to your roof by securing ladders and trash bins away from
your home; lock them in the garage.
Get rid of or modify – when possible – design elements that provide access to
roofs or upper story's.
• Be certain that all skylights in your home are secured with one-way screws so that
the unit cannot be removed to make an easy entrance.
Secure any roof-access with upgraded hardware and skylights with anti-break
window film.
• Cut down or trim trees that provide entry to rooftops and balconies.
• It is a problem if your fence is close to your roof. Make sure that your roof is better
protected or that your fence is better protected.

• Use anti climb paint.
• Anti-climb paint (also known as non-drying paint, anti-intruder paint, anti
vandal grease) is a class of paint consisting of a thick oily coating that is applied
with a stiff brush, trowel or by hand using a protective glove.
• Paint the gutters, fences, drain pipes with anti-climb paint. Anywhere burglars
could climb to reach the roof.

Anti Climb Paint - What is it and how to apply.

Attic
 Keep your attic door locked
• Keep your manhole locked

Ceiling
• Make sure that your ceiling is not easily to remove
Use quality building material for roof construction, roof material and the ceilings.
• If you have weak points than fix them. This is an easy way for burglars to get
through your roof

Lighting tips:
• Use special timers on your indoor and outdoor lights to make them come on at
certain times to give the impression someone is at home.
• Burglars are opportunists, and a seemingly empty house can be a target. Using
lighting is an effective method to deter would-be burglars.
• Affix outside lights in your backyard, near the gutters and on--or as near as you
can to the roof.
• Place lights under the top of your roof. So that every wall of your house is
perfectly lightened up.
• If you can get lights that are motion-sensitive, this is even better. A burglar will be
easily dissuaded if he is lit up like a Christmas tree every time he tries to get near
your roof.
• Buy sensors if you already have outdoor lights. This will convert your lights to
motion-sensitive lights and therefore will cost you less.

Alarm System
• People think burglars wouldn't come through the roof/ceiling/attic. But this
happens more often than your think. So place motion detectors in the rooftop and
attics

Camera System
• Place the cameras perfectly to keep every corner of your roof in sight.
