Level 3: Inner Perimeter Protection Security System (WALLS)
Level 4: Internal Security System (INSIDE HOUSE)

Definition:
Inner Perimeter Protection Security System is the third level. This level of security
specifies only house walls. We are talking about tips that you as home owner can
do to protect you from burglars entering your home.

Inexpensive safety tips:
DOORS

Get the right doors: If your front and back doors are hollow, you need to replace
them immediately. All exterior doors should be solid and made from the following
materials:
       Fiberglass
       Solid wood
       Solid wood core
       Metal

If installing/replacing a new door and frame:
Consider a fiberglass door that swings outward rather than inward
       Use security hinges.
Having a door open in this way helps absorb any type of forced entry.
Replace all windowed exterior doors with windowless doors.
You should not have windows close enough to the door so that a thief could
break the window and unlock the door from the inside.
If you do have this cover the glass with a security grate or grille on the outside
or a clear, unbreakable polycarbonate panel secured behind the glass on the
inside.

Lock your doors
       Install deadbolt locks
Use a deadbolt lock in addition to the lock build into the doorknob
       Use high quality
       Install a dead-lock
       Adding an additional lock
       Secure sliding doors
Install keyed locks at the top and bottom.
Use  a bar that swings down from the door frame to the middle of the door.
       Use glass with polycarbonate panels

Reinforce your entryway
1.    Install cylinder guards around the lock cylinders
2.    Replace flimsy strike plates
3.    Secure exposed hinges
4.    Fortify your frame

Install viewers/peep holes
Viewers, also called peep holes allow you to see who is on the other side of
the door.
Install wide-angle viewers at eye level on all exterior doors.
If you have to open your door to see, your locks won't do you much good. Try
to find peep holes with covers to prevent people from looking back in with special
tools, like a reverse peephole viewer.

Installing door bars:
Make sure to place them correctly.
Keep fire safety in mind when placing the door bars.

Alarm Systems
Alarm tips for doors:
Make use of your porch lights.
       Place burglar alarms:
Use motion detectors. Place them on the patio and/or in front of every
entering door.
Use vibration detectors. The alarm will go off when burglars our entering your
doors.
Make sure that motion and/or vibration detectors are also placed every
story of your home.

Camera Systems
Camera tips for doors:
Use lights with motion detectors. This will make the sight from your doors
clearly through the cameras.
Place the cameras perfectly to keep every door and window in sight.
