Welcome to our voted themed OG RCD article post. This is maybe a four or five
blog post. In this article you’ll have a really short intro of the four levels of security
systems.

Level 1: Perimeter Protection Security System (FENCE)
Level 2: Middle Area Protection Security System (YARD)
Level 3: Inner Perimeter Protection Security System (WALLS)
Level 4: Internal Security System (INSIDE HOUSE)
Definition:
Inner
Perimeter Protection Security System is the third level. This level of security
specifies only house walls. We are talking about tips that you as home owner
can
do to protect you from burglars entering your home.
Inexpensive
safety tips:
DOORS
Get
the right doors: If
your front and back doors are hollow, you need to replace
them immediately. All
exterior doors should be solid and made from the following
materials:
• Fiberglass
• Solid wood
• Solid wood core
• Metal
If
installing/replacing a new door and frame:
• Consider a fiberglass door that
swings outward rather than inward
• Use security hinges.
• Having a door open in this way
helps absorb any type of forced entry.
• Replace all windowed exterior
doors with windowless doors.
• You should not have windows
close enough to the door so that a thief could
break the window and unlock the
door from the inside.
• If you do have this cover the
glass with a security grate or grille on the outside
or a clear, unbreakable
polycarbonate panel secured behind the glass on the
inside.

• Install deadbolt locks
•
Use
a deadbolt lock in addition to the lock build into the doorknob
•
Use
high quality
• Install a dead-lock
•
Adding
an additional lock
• Secure sliding doors
•
Install
keyed locks at the top and bottom.
•
Use a bar that swings down from the door frame to
the middle of the door.
•
Use
glass with polycarbonate panels
Reinforce
your entryway

cylinder guards around the lock cylinders

your frame
Install
viewers/peep holes
• Viewers, also called peep
holes allow you to see who is on the other side of
the door.
• Install wide-angle viewers at
eye level on all exterior doors.
• If you have to open your door
to see, your locks won't do you much good. Try
to find peep holes with covers
to prevent people from looking back in with special
tools, like a reverse
peephole viewer.

• Make sure to place them
correctly.
• Keep fire safety in mind when
placing the door bars.

• Make use of your porch lights.
• Place burglar alarms:

Use
motion detectors. Place them on the patio and/or in front of every
entering
door.

Use
vibration detectors. The alarm will go off when burglars our entering your
doors.
• Make sure that motion and/or
vibration detectors are also placed every
story of your home.

• Use lights with motion
detectors. This will make the sight from your doors
clearly through the
cameras.
• Place the cameras perfectly to
keep every door and window in sight.
