De-clutter kids room | Project update

Hello RCD readers,

My big sister turned 38 before Easter vacation and she has been talking about cleaning and redesigning her daughter's room but when kids you place a toy and they take it out. Meaning you never actually clean up. I thought for awhile to help de-clutter and redesign the room into a room for a six year old girl.

So my gift to her was cleaning , reorganizing and redesigning the room.

The Toys
 I started on Monday, March 28 2022 with de-cluttering the room.

First we started with her bringing the toys in box's so that I can organize them. Three piles.
  • the throw away pile
  • the keep pile
  • the give away
My Goddaughter is a fan of playing barbie, playing house, playing role play games. So the toys had to revolve around that.

Now this was a success I managed to organize the piles every night for about four days.

Second give away the toys to people you know who have little kids. With this we made three families with toddlers happy. We have a big box for kids that have it less fortunate.

Third we made three toys boxes;
- Cooking box
- Playing house box
- Barbie box

The clothes
Friday, April 1 and Saturday, April 2 I got the clothes.

I managed to make the same three piles;
- the throw away pile
- the keep pile
- the give away

We have a box to give away amazing clothes, box to give away less fortunate and a couple of clothing that was throw away because they were arts and crafts clothes.

The clothes that she will keep were divided in;
- kids shorts
- kids skirts
- kids leggings
- kids shirts long, short shirts and dresses that are going to be used as shirts
- kids sleeping clothes
- kids dresses

Now we have the tutu's , the underwear and socks and last bathing suits.

The clothes that will be hanged will be divide into;
- costume
- pretty dresses for party's and at home
- jackets

Now the following thing was removing the beds on the site visit.

We'll post an article Wednesday, April 27 2022. Week in the life RCD !! New clip about this pro-bono project.
