1) What do we use in Suriname to produce electricity?

NV EBS is the national electricity provider in Suriname. The electricity is completely generated using river water from the Afobakka reservoir in the district Brokopondo. Therefore, this form of energy is often called hydroelectric power, because it is generated by hydropower, it is cleaner, renewable and inexpensive compared to diesel generated power.

2) How can we substitute our current energizing electricity?

 

 

Revival is converting other forms of energy into electricity. The energy sources are fossil fuels (fossiele brandstoffen) such as coal (kolen), oil (aardolie) and gas (aardgas), but also hydro (waterkracht), geothermal (aardwarmte), nuclear (kernenergie), solar (zonne-energie), wind (windenergie), etc.

4) What kind of solar panels do we have?

We are going to talk about 3 types of Solar Panels:

• Monocrystalline panel ; uses 80% of the sunlight

•  Polycrystalline Panel ; uses 15% of the sunlight 

•  Amorphous Panel; uses 10% of the sunlight arid regions and the sea
