This Throwback Thursday I'm discussing "Kitchen design". This project is from April 25th 2020 and this was pro-bono.

This pro-bono project was from a couple that wanted to design their kitchen after the definitive drawings were finished.

 

Online consultation

After delivering technical drawings. During the budget phase of this personal project we've discussed the kitchen concept with the couple.

Start with a vision board

The vision board I made usage of houzz and unsplash. 

 
What is vision board?

A vision board is a visualization tool of your biggest goals and dreams created with pictures, words, and other items, typically on a cork board or poster board.

 

Inspiration

The kitchen has two different inspiration concepts:

• the garbage disposable for corner cabinets
• the idea of wash table on the kitchen island
• the kitchen island has a seating area concept
• the color scheme concepts
• the placing of the wash table and the stove

After a second online consultation. We discussed the following:

• the placing of the wash table, cooker, build in microwave, build in oven, water dispenser,  and dishwasher 
• the client wanted a cabinet for the refrigerator 
• the client wanted a pantry cabinet
• the spice racks cabinets

The work drawings are the last phase of the preliminary design. After a third consult the design changed.
