Hello RC Designs readers and watchers,

Starter house design!!

Collaboration with a sweet young couple!!

 

Today's project update will be about a young couple who have seen my journey from the beginning and trusted me to do great job in their next step.

This is one of my funnest project's to do. It's really a collaboration. They have a dream and articulating it went smoothly.

Program of requirements

The young couple sketched a layout for their house concept. With this I made an estimated offer for the project and they trusted my qualities,so agreed for the price.

Location research

RCD team did the following on site:

• measured the difference of ground floor and the road. 
• We measured if the measurements given in the site drawing was the same. 
• We checked the houses around their site to see what the problems would be and how to go about the building process.

 

Sketching phase layout 

I started with the site plan and the layout first for the client's. Here they can make sure if the layout makes any sense. We discussed that we would have some alterations :

• I found the placing of the bathroom and toilet a bad location
• I couldn't find where they would put the washroom 
• I found the choose of a wall closing of the kitchen from the wind direction alarming but we can find alternatives to fix that

 

Sketching phase the facades

With the facades we discussed the roof design, the window design and the color pallet. This is an amazing way to assure the client gets his or her dream design.

The roof changes

The client's wanted a certain kind of roof design. And coming towards that was a whole process.

The window choices

They had specific choices for the three kind window designs.

Definitive drawings

After all the important points were discussed with the client. The drawing process in AutoCAD went pretty smoothly.
