First tip is : " Let there be light"

People forget that natural and artificial lighting is important when designing your house. Making use of lighting installers in the beginning of the design process is a lifesaver. It's something most client's forget because you have to pay more in the designing process. You can consult with both lighting installers and interior designer or architect.

 

Why is important to contact a lighting installer in the beginning?

With the use of a lighting installer you can create different vibes and moods in your house design. And this creates an amazing ambiance. Plus consulting them early you can make sure what is possible and what is not budget wise. DON'T SETTLE FOR ANYTHING!!

 

Why should you let your lighting installer and interior designer or architect work together?  

Because you get less problems during the building process. You can't rush a design process and if you botch it you'll certainly pay more during the building phase.

 

How can you make use of natural lighting?

Consult your architect for this. The two most important things are:

- while choosing which room needs more natural lighting, always make sure that you keep the ventilation , heat and rain in mind. Because we have a tropical climate.

- you have more that one way to create natural lighting (Vertical, horizontal, by shades, by entire sun contact)

Remember:

- How much lighting do you want?

- What is your budget?

- Do you artificial or natural lighting?

- Do you want ambiance or functionality or both?

 

Those are the important questions that you should ask yourself.
