Mind control | Day in the life RCD
Hello RCD readers,
The month May began with a lot of drama but I've learned that you can choose what you focus on.
Today is the first day on my laptop again for drawing. I'm busy with correcting an older project. My freelance employer agreed to my offer. First is coming up with a design. This project will take 2-3weeks drawings but they have to make sure that I'm stagnate because their late responses again. This time I'm going to be positive and focus my corrections and additions.
Mind control
People forget that we don't have control of their environment but we have control of our mind. P.S. not everyone has this because of mental health. So if you can work on this do your best to master this ability.
How do I control my mind?
People who bring the negative vibes out of me because of their insecurities and unhappiness I choose when I communicate with them. And this helps. But I did read an article about this. These are their 10tips. If you want to read the entire article click the link below.
1) Identify the thoughts you want to change
For me it would be past hurt and current negativity that we have no control over because it's people you have to contact with daily.
2) Accept unwanted thoughts
I'm not their yet with every negative thought or emotion. And I enjoy the "out of side, out of mind" ability. Because I feel a certain peace of mind.
3) Try meditation
Have to be honest. I've tried this but what helps me more is just praying. Having entire conversations with God when I need him to just hear my thoughts out loud. Even when He knows it all. It feels great.
4) Change your perspective
This really helps. I've been talking to myself as I'm my best friend for years ahahahaha.
5) Focus on positives
I have to work on this. I'm good with being positive for others that positivity in a negative situation but for myself this needs always extra motivation.
6) Try guided imagery
This is very important. Visualize what you want.
Get started with this simple exercise:Quoted by this link
- Get comfortable — sitting down works best — and close your eyes.
- Take a few slow, deep breaths. You’ll want to keep breathing just like this as you create your visual scene.
- Using plenty of sensory details, create a relaxing scene in your mind. Try to think of something that brings you peace, whether that’s the lakeshore at your childhood home, the well-trodden path at your favorite park, or a leafy, crisp autumn day. Fully develop the scene by including the sounds, smells, and the feel of the air on your skin.
- Picture yourself wandering through the scene you’ve created, mindfully noticing your surroundings, and taking in every detail.
- Keep breathing slowly, letting the peace of the scene wash over you and help you relax.
- Spend 10 to 15 minutes enjoying your image.
- Finish the exercise with a few deep breaths and open your eyes.
7) Write it out
Writing down your negative thoughts can help. I've also tried writing down a letter that never will be sent to. To minimize my frustration. Journaling is also really helpful.
8) Try focused distractions
Reinforce positive distractions in negative situations
- spending time with loved ones
- listening to music or motivational talks
- taking a walk or a drive
9) Work on managing stress
Stress and anxiety can fuel unwanted thoughts. That's why self-care is important.
- enough sleep
- eat and drink healthy
- ask for help
- making time to relax
10) Talk to a therapist
My best friend is my therapist.
I hope these tips will help you as it most of the time helps me.
Good read!
