Second online consult

Sometimes client's have a second party to make the call towards me. And this is sometimes harder and makes the process of designing also stagnant. So that's what's happening here. I have a 2nd party that discusses the actual clients wishes. Which means important stuff gets lost in translation.  For example:

1. The potential legal building area

I'm limited with a certain width and depth of the site. This was explained but the second party gives me a week later a respond of corrections. With her client not giving the width and depth useable in mind.

2. The importance of column structure

Because the client chose to change the design into something entirely different means the construction should also be changed. More columns are needed for this new design because the client wants a church gothic style roof with in mind that the ceiling should reach 4-4.5m. This means the construction should be in the entire builing and not only the prayer hall. Also finding the right place for the two mid columns to not be a hinderniss with the podium.

3. Logistically designing

People tend to forget that architectural designing is a studied profession. Which means you can't design if you don't have designing background so ask and don't put things in that have no good influence to the design.

Stuck with fixing something that doesn't work.

My job is to make sure that I design exactly what the client asks for with problems and all. You either try to fix to make their wishes still come true or you can design what they want to show what is wrong with what they are asking.

Current state of the project

I'm busy with the layout I choose to begin Monday instead of Friday because I had other business tasks Friday and my deadline for designing is 4 to 6weeks. I'm trying to make the columns functional and not hinderniss to the design.  Today I'm hoping to finish the layout and start with the facades.
