Project update| August 3rd 2020
You win some you lose some.
I don't know where to start. Last week I had so much potential projects and I didn't deny any of them. Because as we all know " Nothing is certain until you get that paycheck". Even than you can have project "On hold".
But I'm honest about everything because this is my journey and my personal blog. So I will be discussing on hold or cancelled or slow going projects.
On Hold projects
- Last month I had a definitive "yes" on an almost two year ongoing project. I finally made the new layout and the client's loan was denied. So I have a project that is on hold again for the second time.
- A potential Facebook respond came up to the program of requirements and no budge,
Cancelled projects
- A colleague wanted me to correct drawings. I was really busy but went beyond to make time. But I think my questions or my cost made her say bye.
- Two projects need new drawings. And I'm not in the mood for my employer to just put my name without me checking. So I'm still waiting if they can find somebody with no integrity
Slow going projects
- A client needs a building permit. I have called and gone a million times but I guess because I'm honest and not corrupt this BS keeps on happening. I have waited 4 months and still no permit.
- A client for a 2 story house needs a building permit. The construction has been approved and still I'm waiting for the permit.
- A new freelance project took a whole week to say the drawings are good you can go further. When we have a tight schedule plus 2-3weeks time limit. But if you respond so late... Well guess you'll just have to wait.
I wrote this project update as an blog post because well it's honest.
3rd slow going project.
The ongoing project
I started to work on this week again and hoping to finish everything on
time. I think the client loves the design and is happy with the facades
and the 1st On Hold project
I made the new layout with the right dimensions of the plot. The client is furious because this project is cancelled and she had given me a yes
1st cancelled project
At first I wanted to give a half ass price for my work and services. But I needed to be honest and that backfired but it showed the person the real me.
So my lesson from this all would be 'YOU WIN SOME .. YOU LOOSE SOME.. DUST IT OFF AND KEEP IT MOVING"
