I Understand & I’m Listening | Day in the life RCD
September is the perfect month for closing a chapter and starting something new—it always feels like a complete reset.
Lately, I keep writing that today was hectic or that I was really tired. But how about: Today I felt God's presence in the way things transpired.
It feels like an extraordinary domino effect playing out right in front of me. A simple phone call turns into an answered prayer for something I had overlooked. Waiting on something gives it room to shape into a better possibility, using that time in between to prepare. Even being ghosted saves me from awkward conversations, or a clear spiritual nudge whispers, "This is what I need you to do—just follow me." Having the blessing of the Lord to do what I love makes me realize I’m not just serving through the talents He gave me, but also sharing those blessings whenever He asks me to.
So, as the last phone call ends, the last external colleague submits his offer, the content for the new month is scheduled, and the final client follow-up is wrapped up... I am tired. My brain needs to calm down, but I’m also careful not to become complacent. So, I get on my knees and pray.
I pray not only for Him to take over this hectic week, calm my spirit, and bless these ongoing projects, but most importantly, to acknowledge His answered prayers. I won't go into every detail just yet—some blessings are best kept close until they fully come to fruition—but I see His hands guiding the mishaps I make and His voice keeping me from going astray.
My prayer tonight is simple: Thank you. I understand. I'm listening. I will do my best.
I’m ending the night without picking up my to-do list—not because I don't have one, but because I need to rest to be ready for tomorrow. I need to ease into what’s next rather than rushing through it.
Have a blessed night!
