High Vibes, Silent Panics, and the Beauty of the "In-Between"

Hello RCD readers! ✨

Can we just take a collective breath for a second? Because May is absolutely flying by. One minute we are welcoming the month, and the next, I’m looking at my calendar wondering where the weeks went.

Honestly, this month has been a beautiful, smooth ride... despite those spicy, short moments of absolute stress that pop up in between. You know how it is. Between batching content to get our name out there, finalizing designs, and—here is a major milestone—learning the power of saying "no" to potential clients who aren't the right fit, it’s a lot! It is so easy to let those little negative, stressful moments overtake the big wins. But not today.

I woke up this morning feeling energized, at peace, and ready to conquer. Then, I received some news that made me pause: a fellow acquaintance passed away. It really hits you how fickle and fragile life is.

When things like this happen, people always give the usual advice: "Enjoy life to the fullest! Break the rules! Stop working so hard and splurge!"

But here is my hot take: true joy comes from within. It’s not about a flawless, Instagram-perfect day. I could show you a video of a completely "fun" day, while behind the scenes a million things went wrong, or made me tired, or stressed me out. It doesn’t mean the day lacked joy! On the flip side, a quiet, peaceful, utterly "chill" day where nothing major happens can be the absolute time of your life.

That is life. It’s a mixture of the "in-between." And honestly? I love my life exactly as it is right now. I’ve loved past seasons, too, and maybe took them for granted at the time, but right now? Being able to spend my days surrounded by people who genuinely show me love, respect, and safety? That is the ultimate blessing.

The Weekly Hustle: Blueprints & Ballet Slippers

Speaking of life being a mix of everything, let’s look at my to-do list this week. It is a wildly entertaining contrast of heavy technical design and creative choreography.

On the architectural front, I have three major projects demanding my attention:

  1. One is in the final stretch, getting ready to receive its official building permit.
  2. For the second, I’m diving into the building department archives to see if they have any additions or corrections.
  3. The third is also in the inspection phase for any final tweaks.

There’s a potential fourth project on the horizon, too. But instead of stressing, I’ve placed it completely in God’s hands. If it is meant for me, it will succeed.

I’ve noticed a lot of people relying heavily on paid Ads to chase down clients lately. Call me old-fashioned, but I choose the natural route. For me, organic referrals and word-of-mouth are everything. It means my focus goes entirely into making sure my technical design flyers are crystal clear, my services are unmatched, and—most importantly—that my work is so good that clients naturally keep coming back.

Meanwhile, in my other world... ballet life is moving fast! We have our big recital in August, which means I have exactly two months left.

Now, let's do some math: two months sounds like a lot until you realize that’s only about 8 practice sessions. 8 times! And I still have to finalize the choreography and teach it to the kids. So, if you see me staring blankly into space this week, just know I am panicking silently. Oh, and next week they have a break, so it's a total gamble whether they will remember a single step I taught them! Wish me luck.

The Manifestation List (My Goals for the Week):

I went into this Monday so incredibly relaxed that I almost forgot I actually have to work! But we have goals to hit, people:

  • ➡️ Secure those building permits for two of my ongoing projects.
  • ➡️ Choreograph at least one minute of the dance routine (fingers crossed).
  • ➡️ No excuses: Attend my own ballet classes without missing a day.
  • ➡️ Adulting: Finally handle that big, annual car expense. 🚗
  • ➡️ Auntie duties: Help my brilliant nephew ace his last school quiz.
  • ➡️ Stay ahead: Design and batch all social media content for June.
  • ➡️ The boring (but crucial) stuff: Crunching numbers and organizing QuickBooks for 2023.
  • ➡️ Growth: Welcome that potential new project before May wraps up!

The Big Lesson for the Week

If this week has a lesson, it’s this: Don't wait for life to be perfect before you decide to enjoy it.

The perfect balance doesn't exist. You can be successfully running a business, panicking over dance routines, dealing with car maintenance, and still find absolute peace and joy in the middle of the chaos. Growth isn't just about working 24/7; it's about building a solid foundation—in your life, in your mind, and in your environment—that allows you to weather any season with grace.

Are you ready to build your own solid foundation?

If you’ve been dreaming of designing a home or space that brings you that genuine sense of safety, peace, and joy every time you walk through the door, let’s make it happen. I don't rely on flashy ads; I rely on precise, high-quality architectural technical designs tailored perfectly to you.

Spaces are filling up for the coming months! Send a message directly via WhatsApp or drop an email to chat about your upcoming project. Let's design a space you love coming home to.

Have an amazing, joyful, chaotic week, everyone!
