Connection VS Perfection | Day in the life RCD
Hello RCD readers,
Yes this is inspired by a reel. But also helped my content and marketing strategy for these last two month's. My content needs to be inspiring, educational, fun and relatable. This is something a lot don't do. The go to content is "perfection". Showcase amazing design or amazing end results. They showcase that they are the best in their field and go to person for the job. It's a marketing strategy.
But that's not mine. I do the total opposite what is considered to be done in my work field as promoting. My content is not flashy. I don't even post the best pictures which is out of the box. I choose rough picture. The beginning phase where nothing is perfect. And sometimes has a lot of functional design problems. I'm honest with my failure. I'm honest with my achievements on the right time. No I don't overshare. It's all calculated. When I speak about something I've already fixed the problem or learned the lesson. And most likely I'm actually dealing with something entirely different thing. It's never present time content.
I get client's who always come back for a second project or with a referral. Because they get an homey experience with me. They feel like they can be themselves during this process. Now don't get me wrong I'm really professional. I do follow ups. I give weekly work updates. I share upfront each stage of the project. I let them know this is their dream design. The purpose is for them to understand what will be build. And prepare them for that phase.
These two month I choose to mix it up a bit.
- content about my most common questions for educational aspect
- behind the scenes updates but with a twist I'll blog about the lesson learned in that project instead of how behind the scenes are going. This for relatable aspect.
- re-share or repost of promotional content
- squeaky clean content for the end results. This is also promotional content but in a perfection aspect
- and last day we'll see what I'll post.
I hope you'll enjoy the new content. Show some love by sharing my Facebook page. I want to make this 1000 followers.
