Election Day | Day in the life RCD
Hello RCD readers,
Everyone ready for the big day? As I'm waiting for a better parking space. I'm thinking about the big change that doesn't phase me at all.
Sunday is the big day. I would be staying up. I want be overstressing who should win. I won't because it doesn't change anything. Not in the sense that we are doomed. But in the sense I believe God to take care of me and my family during each terrible government win. Each one was consumed with greed and corruption. This time we had racism too. People showing their ass because a man of Indian descendants. We had cultures living in hate and discrimination full blown. Not saying it wasn't around. I'm saying they felt free to be themselves because who sat their. And that said a lot about everything.
I have seen money splurged that wasn't around the entire 5 years. I've seen promises made that the next government may not be able to keep. I've seen politicions tricking people in thinking they are making smart investments. When they are actually diminishing our generational wealth but when we operate with greed than nothing good comes out of it.
People have been told to buy their land. Which sounds smart and is a plus side for them. But they forget what it actually meant. I meant rich could get richer and the plots of land is now officially owned buy them. So it was never for us middle class or people with almost no income. It was just a trick.
We've seen a lot of people receiving higher positions. Which means if the government stays or goes he secured a certain group.
We've seen political parties break after years of working together and protecting each other.
We've openings and succes of different project's that were already set from the government before.
Let's talk about the positive. We've seen people stand on their integrity and not fall back on corruption. We've seen elders their paycheck finally a little bit changed in years. We've seen groups not waiting and starting their own organisations to help their community because the government was not responding. We've seen a lot of slowly digitization. Which still has his kicks but it's a step in the right direction.
But most important. We've seen that in rough years we see who will rise up with solutions for change and who will wait on government while complain about things.
So whatever we get Sunday.
I vote for God. Either way He got me through these years and He will always get us through them. Yes I will always pray for Suriname but my trust is only in God.
Have a blessed election day
May God choose the right government
