- Five YouTube Milestone:

- 1st voice recording
- 1st well received YouTube clip
- Coming up with solutions for current social issue in Suriname
- 1st time sharing more about myself
- What are my favorite clips?

Five Milestones from 2017-2022
Number 5
First most memorable thing would be on March 10th, 2017,
when I posted my first clips.
I posted four different clips at the same time. The first YouTube video was a shout out video in which I
showed female architects around the
world their work and their inspirational words. This clip took a while to make
because I was just learning about copyrights and what I could post. I choose
this theme because of March 8th.
Three where from
my Facebook page “notes” coming to MP4. These four were:
- Solar Panels; this clip was really well received.
- DIY swimming pool this was a collaboration with a Surinamese swimming pool company.
- Earthquake resistant building article which I made because there were rumors that we had a very little aftershock and I wanted to learn more about this which I shared with you guys.

RC Designs Articles 2017
My second most memorable YouTube clip was in 2018. The
moment I’d decided to make voice recordings. I was so nervous to talk and which
language I would choose. And most important what I would say. I started with an
easy breezy fluff article theme “At Home Vacation”
Number 3
First well received videos. The most viewed clips were all religious slash architecture-based RCD articles. Our winner will have to be still to this today “Catholic Church architecture ”. This was well received and inspired more religious or cultural slash architectural based RCD themes like:
- Mosque VS Synagogue architecture (2 parts)
- Japanese architecture (2 parts)
- Surinamese historical town (2 parts)
- Native architecture
- Indonesian architecture (4 parts)
- Modern Architecture in India (2 parts)
- 12 steps designing prayer area (10 parts)
3)
Cultural | religion-based architecture
The first time I used a current social issue within the country as an RCD theme.
- The first would be Safe House series. The crime numbers were going up so I decided to make a video in which from architectural standpoint you can try to keep your home safe. This is inspired more videos like this.
- Climate change series; Here I talked about causes & solutions for this problem. In this serie two videos are still viewed till this day. Rainy day article and Flood resistant houses. Just because in Suriname heavy rains are what we struggle with these years.
2)
Climate Changes.
- Restaurant series; The misinformation about designing a restaurant was frustrating me. So I made this serie where I talk about the interior designing part and even talk about safety and health aspect.
- Full architectural design process: A lot of pro bono clients and sometimes freelance employers didn’t know anything about the design process, building process, planning process etc. So I made a videos where I discussed a lot that would apply to Suriname. I’m thinking about adding the building permit process into this.
Number 1
Sharing me more. The first time I made a clip that was
kind of personal when I got the guts to celebrate my 5 year milestone of having
bachelor title in Architecture. That I posted my theses on YouTube.
1)
Graduation Assignment
This
inspired me to ;
- share more of ongoing projects in BACK IN TIME PROJECT. Where I discuss my finished projects and sometimes ongoing.
- To create #rcdesignsjourney where I discusses my journey, my new blog website and different content I use to make.
Now if asked. What are my favorite clips?
I would say the interior design video’s because it’s
always an inspiration for other people. It starts a conversation and people use
the tips in designing their kids’ rooms, walk in closet, bedrooms, bathrooms,
kitchens etc. And I love that.
My favorite back in time video would have to a project
from
- July 2018- January 2019; this was my first online project and the whole process I try to document.
- December 2018- February 2019 ; because this projects has so many layers and show what it takes to get your dream house. And the finishing of this serie still must be made.
- Day in the life RCD clips ; I still have to figure out how I will do that.
- BACK IN TIME RCD PROJECTS; Some amazing freelance projects from 2019 -2022 that I want to share.
Important RCD themes;
- House design| climate addition Green wall vs water wall
