Age groups in a family home:
       Baby‘s & Toddlers (0-5years)
       Kids & Tweens (6-15years)
       Teenagers & Young adults (16-21years)

RC Designs DIY tips for a couple of entertaining ideas at home. 

DIY Pretend Camping
For baby’s and toddlers

Find big old sheets
Use chairs  and long brooms
Make your tepee in the corner of the room
Tie the table lamp or flashlight on the center top or place it on a chair
Use a lot of pillows or a mattress for sleeping
You put glow in the light stars on your ceiling
** remember the toddler size before you begin with your DIY project
Multi functional by also using it as a napping area




    For KIDS & TWEENS

•  If you don’t have a tent of your own, build a DIY one with long sticks and old sheets
to use as roofing
•  Use your yard for fun games like old Suriname children games.
•  Don’t forget your fire pit.
•  Don’t forget to re-use items around the house (be creative) *using old toilet rolls to start 
a  fire
•  Don’t forget about the repelling bracelet for mosquito 
•  Make sure to check all the ants nets first
•  You can use Christmas light to slightly light up your backyard or use glow sticks to make
DIY lanterns
•  Don’t forget the snacks and drinks
•  Have a perfect spot to stargaze or look at the moon.
•  Possible to create an outdoor theater


DIY IN-HOME THEATER
    For all age groups

• Beamer & Laptop
• Normal sound speakers
• White big open wall or use a long sheet
• Wifi for searching movies, series etc.
• Comfortable chairs
• Electric popcorn maker
• Smoothie maker
• Or remove all the furniture to create a comfortable seating area and use you normal  
television

ARTS&CRAFT AREA 
    For baby’s till tweens | Sometimes mother’s

• Create a messy room or area for the children( for child development)
• Recycle and re-use material
• Make your own bins for storage 
• Be creative with your furniture
• Try to buy from paint to crayons to glitter to glue gun
• Take the biggest wall and change it to a blackboard
• Make sure if painting etc. To make the flooring easy to clean or use easy washable paint.



SWIMMING POOL
    For all ages

• Keep it outside or on your patio
• Buy a inflatable baby / kids pool or removable family pool
• If you need more water make sure to call a professional to fill your pool with water
• Don’t forget about the fencing
• Always have safety swimming rules
• On ground floor always put a tarp before putting inflatable pool on top of it
• Always cover after usage
• Make sure to create shade
• Don’t forget the popsicle and snacks



PLAYGROUND
    For toddlers till tweens


• If possible try making a treehouse
• Old tires can be used as swings 
• Create your own climbing area
• Make sure your family favorite sports are represented
• Use your kids favorite outdoor games to design your own playground



GAME ROOM
    For toddlers till teenagers

•  First write down what your game preference from your family and their friends
•  Try having family games that the whole family can play
•  Comfortable chairs 
•  Snack bar
•  Kids drink bar


READING ROOM
    For toddlers till teenagers


•  Find a corner in your home (preference living room or the study room)
•  Have a variety of different age groups books
• Use chairs and tables in their age height
• If this location is for toddler make sure to have a relaxing chair for yourself to read

COUPLES RELAX AREA
For parents [sauna]


•  Sauna Foil Vapor barrier
•  Nails and nail gun, aircompressor
•  Fiberglass Insulation and Foil barrier
•  Electrical wiring, gas pipe, or a wood pile (for heat)
•  Ground fault electrical outlet link
•  Light switch (optional)
•  Wet/dry rated light fixture (optional)
•  Tongue and groove cedar paneling boards. Buy a home sauna kit  or buy your own lumber
•  Cedar bench lumber

COUPLES RELAX AREA
    For parents[jacuzzi]


• I would choose making the top floor level of the patio
• Choose the building material
• Build the floor
• Assemble the staves or the other building materials
• Add the floor drain
• Add the benches
• Add the water
• Install the stove
• Or buy your own Jacuzzi and build the patio around it
• Don’t forget the shades link

COUPLES RELAX AREA
    For parents [chilling area]

• Write down what relaxes you first
